The European Commission has approved the allocation of €4.1 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated.

“The European Commission has given a positive assessment of the reforms and noted that the government has met the necessary indicators to receive this tranche,” Shmyhal wrote.

The PM said that after the approval of the decision by the EU Council, the total support under the Ukraine Facility for this year will reach €16.1 billion.

“We thank the EU for its steadfast support of Ukraine. Despite the full-scale war with Russia, we continue to reform and transform in order to strengthen our ties with Europe and achieve full EU membership,” added Shmyhal.

Ukraine Facility is the European Union's financial support program for Ukraine, where between 2024 and 2027, the EU will allocate €50 billion to finance the state budget, stimulate investments, and provide technical assistance in implementing the program.
