Explosions and Fires Reported Across Multiple Russian Regions

Several regions in Russia experienced explosions and fires, with reports suggesting attacks on strategic military facilities. According to eyewitness reports, explosions were heard near a military town in Yeysk, Krasnodar region.

Russian media outlets and eyewitness reports multiple drone attacks across various regions. In Yeysk, the explosions occurred near a military base that hosts the Russian Navy’s 859th Naval Aviation Combat Training and Retraining Center and the 190th Mixed Aviation Regiment.

In Rostov region, explosions were also reported in Tsymlyansk. The governor of Krasnodar region stated that a drone was allegedly neutralized by electronic warfare systems in Shabelskoye, leading to a crash that damaged nearby property. The governor of Rostov region claimed that air defense systems had destroyed four drones in the Azov district. These claims cannot be independently verified.

Voronezh region also reported several explosions after drones were intercepted, with subsequent fires breaking out. Local residents described hearing at least ten explosions. Later, additional explosions were reported in Voronezh and Volgograd regions, with ongoing fires in several locations. According to the governor of Rostov region, 18 drones were reportedly shot down in the region.

In Volgograd region, an ammunition depot in Kotluban was reportedly attacked. According to Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, the site housed Iranian ballistic missiles and launchers. The attack led to a large fire, and locals reported hearing the detonation of stored munitions.

Additionally, reports surfaced about a fire at the “Baltimore” military airfield in Yeysk, where Russian Telegram channels suggested that Kinzhal missiles might have been stored.
