An explosion in Ulyanovsk, Russia, destroyed a section of railway track, dealing another setback to the logistical operations of Russia’s military, Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (HUR) reported on December 15.
The blast occurred in Ulyanovsk’s rail district, near the Sviaga River and just a few kilometers from a local locomotive depot and the Ulyanovsk Motor Plant.
The blow was targeted to disrupt the logistical infrastructure used by Russia in its war against Ukraine.

Efforts to weaken the aggressor’s supply routes remain a critical strategy in countering Moscow’s ability to sustain its military campaign according to Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate.
Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian train transporting 40 fuel tankers in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region, cutting off a key supply route for the Russian military.
