Fifth Batch of Bohdana-BG Towed Howitzers Delivered to Ukrainian Frontlines

Ukraine’s Armed Forces have received five batches of Bohdana-BG towed howitzers since the beginning of 2025.
This was announced by Major General Ivan Lisovyi during an interview with Ukraine’s national broadcaster Channel 5 on July 3.
“In January — the first batch, in February — the second, in March — the third. This is the fifth batch — completed,” Lisovyi said in an interview with Channel 5.
He noted that the towed version of the howitzer has undergone additional upgrades to address issues identified during the operational use of the self-propelled Bohdana artillery system.

Ukraine’s Defense Procurement Agency also confirmed a recent delivery of Bohdana towed howitzers to frontline units but did not specify which batch it was.
Earlier, Ukraine took a significant step forward in strengthening its domestic artillery industry with the development of a new version of the 155mm self-propelled howitzer, designated Bohdana 6.0.
As reported by Army Recognition on July 7, the newly registered patent indicates Ukraine’s intention to pursue international co-production of the Bohdana artillery system.
The 6.0 variant is the sixth self-propelled model in the Bohdana lineup, complementing the towed version known as the Bohdana-B or 2P22 Bohdana-BG.
