The German government allocated €50 million for the treatment of wounded Ukrainian soldiers.

This was reported by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community.

"We continue to stand firmly by Ukraine's side. This support also includes support for seriously injured soldiers who are fighting for their country's freedom. It is important to provide soldiers who are injured in the war with unbureaucratic help,” said Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner. “With the solution we have now found, we are creating security for necessary medical treatment in Germany."

According to the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nancy Feser, Germany has already evacuated 1,173 seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers and civilians and provided them with assistance in German hospitals.

“This help is a commandment of humanity, and we will continue to provide this help with all our strength,” she said.

The German government’s statement emphasized that providing medical care for soldiers is a crucial contribution to supporting Ukraine in its fight against the Russian invasion.

It was noted that in the future, the costs for inpatient care of the wounded will be processed and paid in a non-bureaucratic manner by the Federal Office of Administration.
