Germany Delivers New Military Aid Package to Ukraine
On July 29 Germany has announced the delivery of a significant new military aid package to Ukraine. The updated list of aid has been published on the German Federal Government’s official website. The package includes ammunition, radars, and unmanned aerial vehicles, supplied both from Bundeswehr reserves and through government-funded arms programs.
The package comprises:
- 8 Leopard 1 A5 tanks (jointly provided by Germany and Denmark);
- 21,000 rounds of ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft systems;
- 10 surface drones;
- 2 Bergepanzer armored recovery vehicles;
- 10 ground surveillance radars;
- 24,800 helmets;
- 1 field hospital.
Earlier reports indicated that this year, two-thirds of German arms exports have been allocated to support Ukraine, reaching a record level. In June 2024, it was reported that Ukraine received multiple deliveries, including HIMARS rocket systems, air defense systems, tanks, and other military equipment.
