Germany will deliver two more IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine by the end of the year, Major General Christian Freuding, Head of the Bundeswehr's Ukraine Situation Center, announced during a press briefing in Kyiv on November 25.

"The next IRIS-T SLM (medium-range) and SLS (short-range) systems should arrive in Ukraine in the coming days and weeks, before Christmas," Freuding announced.

"But our support will continue beyond Christmas, beyond January 1, beyond January 21, and even beyond February 23—the proposed date for federal elections in Germany," Freuding assured.

Additionally, Freuding noted that in recent days, Germany has supplied Ukraine with artillery howitzers, tanks, and Marder infantry fighting vehicles, as well as launched a program for strike drones.

On November 20, Germany unveiled its latest military assistance package for Ukraine, which includes advanced armored vehicles, reconnaissance drones, and critical ammunition.

Previously in October, Germany had delivered a medium-range IRIS-T SLM and short-range IRIS-T SLS air defense systems to Ukraine.
