Ichiban Motorcycles Unveils Akira-Inspired Electric Motorbike, Designed by Ukrainian Visionary

Ichiban Motorcycles introduces a sleek, minimalist electric motorbike inspired by the iconic Japanese cyberpunk anime “Akira”, brought to life by a team led by Ukrainian industrial designer Ivan Zhurba.
The information was revealed on January 30 on the company’s social media.
According to one of the company’s comments on Instagram, the vehicle is “on the prototyping and testing stage.”
The motorbike was partly inspired by the main protagonist of Akira, Shotaro Kaneda’s high-tech motorcycle, an iconic symbol of the 1988 series.

“Ichiban motorcycle is the first electric full wheel drive motorcycle with 80th inspired design and added a bit of spice inspired by Akira universe of riot and freedom,” Zhurba wrote on Behance.
The brand has already earned several design awards and caught the interest of multiple investors.
“Embodying the Japanese principle of Kanso , the Ichiban electric motorcycle showcases the beauty of simplicity and purpose in design, “ Ichiban stated on its website.

The all-electric performance bike boasts a 45 kW dual-motor system, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (about 62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds. Its battery offers a range of over 250 km (roughly 155 miles) per charge and can recharge up to 70% in just 30 minutes.
Previously, on December 30, 2024, Blackbird Automotive Journal wrote that Zhurba started sharing his electric motorcycle concepts on Instagram under the Ichiban Motorcycles brand two years ago, remaining a concept for a while.
