Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) has intercepted a conversation between Russian soldiers stationed in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region. In the conversation, one soldier requests to delay a mission due to the high risk of death during a night march, but is threatened with physical reprisal, HUR wrote in a post on Telegram on January 8.

The soldier asks, “Can I please go at 6 a.m.? I don’t want to risk it at this time. I barely made it from that basement.”

In response, the commanding officer harshly rejects the request and delivers a threatening and abusive motivation.

“If you say another word, I’ll beat you up myself. I’ll come for you, you bastard. Get moving, I told you, do you hear me?” Commanding officer screamed.

The HUR emphasized that every Russian soldiers who does not want to be cannon fodder has the opportunity to save their life. To do this, they must write to the “I Want to Live” project bot on Telegram.

Previously, Ukraine’s military intelligence had revealed footage from a sophisticated deception operation in which it staged the apparent killing of Denis “WhiteRex” Kapustin, commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), using FPV drones, according to details released by HUR.
