Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said Rome will continue to support Ukraine and is preparing a twelfth package of military assistance, La Repubblica reported on November 3.
“Our line on Ukraine hasn’t changed. We continue to help Kyiv with what we can,” Crosetto said on Monday at the presentation of the Defense Ministry’s 2026 calendar in Rome. “We will likely build a new package, which I will present soon in line with the previous ones.”

When asked about Germany’s decision to send additional Patriot air-defense systems to Ukraine, Crosetto noted that Italy had already provided all available equipment without compromising its own defense readiness, according to La Repubblica.
“We have sent everything we could—the details remain classified—without weakening Italy’s defenses beyond what is already the case,” he said.
Earlier posts indicate that Italy had signaled its readiness to finance US-made weapons for Ukraine under the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program.
Rome had initially opposed joining the program, insisting that Ukraine already had sufficient channels to acquire weaponry.
