On Monday, Japanese Justice Minister Ryuji Koizumi arrived in Ukraine for a series of meetings with Ukrainian colleagues, the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine reported.

"On August 5, Minister Koizumi arrived in Ukraine. During his visit, he plans to hold a series of meetings with Ukrainian colleagues to discuss opportunities for further cooperation in the areas of judicial reform and anti-corruption," the embassy said in a social media post.

Upon his arrival, Koizumi held discussions with Ukraine's Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin and visited the Bucha victims' memorial. He also toured a coordination center for victims and witnesses of the massacre committed by Russian occupation forces in early 2022.
