Chechen fighters of Ramzan Kadyrov are reportedly withdrawing from checkpoints in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, with Russian forces now taking their place, reported Ukrainian outlet 24 Kanal citing it’s sources.
Additionally, clashes between Chechen and Dagestani soldiers have been reported in the region.
According to a Kadyrov soldier stationed in the occupied territory, their forces are returning to Chechnya. As a result, checkpoints previously manned by Kadyrov’s troops are now staffed by Russian soldiers.
The source added that Kadyrov’s forces have left their positions in several settlements across the Kherson region.
“There was also an explosion, and part of the bridge over the Konka River collapsed,” the source said.
In addition, reports indicate that Kadyrov’s troops were fighting with Dagestani soldiers in the temporarily occupied town of Kalanchak.
