Ukrainian Boxer Klitschko Calls Out Joe Rogan for Repeating Russian Propaganda About Ukraine
Former Ukrainian boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko called out American podcaster Joe Rogan for repeating “Russian propaganda” and offered to join his podcast for an open discussion on the matter.
American podcaster Joe Rogan took aim at outgoing US President Joe Biden for authorizing Ukraine to use long-range weapons against military targets in Russia, while also criticizing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for deploying them.
“Joe Rogan, I listened to your latest podcast. I am sending you this video to let you know that I disagree,” Klitschko said. “You talk about these American weapons being sent to Ukraine, which you believe will lead to the Third World War. So, let me tell you that you're repeating Russian propaganda, Putin's Russia is in trouble. So they want to scare you and people like you. His war was supposed to last 3 days, it has lasted 3 years thanks to the heroism and sacrifice of us Ukrainians.”
“So you’re using the only weapon that Putin really intends to use: propaganda and this weapon really weakens our democracies. Putin’s Russia wants to destroy Ukraine quietly, they want America to stay quiet, not great. A great America is not an America that abandons countries that defend freedom with their lives,” Klitschko continued.
The boxer offered to join Rogan’s podcast, proposing they discuss their differences “like free men.”
Previously, on November 22, Rogan criticized outgoing US President Joe Biden for approving Ukraine’s deployment of long-range weapons against military targets in Russia, as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for employing them.
“Zelenskyy says Putin is terrified. Fuck you, man. Fuck you people. You people are about to start World War III,” Rogan said. “Fucking insanity because those intercontinental ballistic missiles can have nukes on them. This didn’t, but if it does the whole world changes and it changes because the military-industrial complex and it changes because of the money that’s going to Ukraine. It changes because the outgoing president, or whoever the fuck is actually running the country, has decided to do something fucking insane.”
Since the launch of its full-scale invasion, Russia has been targeting Ukrainian sites with missile strikes, hitting both military and civilian infrastructure. In response to escalating Russian missile and drone attacks, and reports of approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers joining Russia's war effort against Ukraine, Biden has authorized Kyiv to use American-made ATACMS against military targets within Russia.
On November 21, Russia launched an attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro using an unidentified missile. Preliminary reports from the Ukrainian Air Force indicated that the missile was likely an ICBM RS-26 Rubezh, capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
