Korea Seeks Ukraine’s Drone Warfare Expertise Amid Rising North Korean Threat

In a statement released by The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on February 28, The Republic of Korea is closely monitoring the involvement of North Korean military forces in Russia’s war against Ukraine and is seeking insights from Ukraine’s experience in drone warfare.
This was a key topic during a meeting between Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boev and a South Korean delegation led by National Assembly member Yoo Yong-won. The discussions focused on defense cooperation and the exchange of military expertise.
"Your visit is important for the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea. The Ukrainian defense industry is interested in interacting with the Korean one. Together we can improve our technologies and accelerate the production of necessary equipment," Boev stated.
Yoo Yong-won highlighted South Korea’s legislative restrictions on arms imports but proposed exploring the possibility of a joint seminar between Ukrainian and Korean defense manufacturers.
Earlier it was reported, Russia’s glide bomb campaign is becoming less effective as Ukraine’s electronic warfare units jam satellite guidance along the front line. The disruption has forced Russian forces to use more munitions to maintain their strike capability, weakening a key battlefield advantage.
