Kropyvnytskyi Hit by Largest Drone Attack Since Russia’s Invasion, Residential Buildings Destroyed

Kropyvnytskyi, a city in central Ukraine, endured its largest drone attack since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andriy Raykovych, reported on March 19.

“Peaceful residential buildings have been destroyed: the private sector, high-rise buildings. As a mockery, enemy drones flew over Myra Street,” Raykovych said.

More than 20 drones struck the city, with debris and explosions damaging residential areas. Several people were injured, including a child.

“Doctors of the regional hospital and the LSHMD promptly provide first aid. Several surgical interventions have been carried out. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service are working with the victims,” Raykovych added.

Local authorities plan to deploy a mobile invincibility point, and municipal services will begin clearing debris and restoring services in the morning.

The strikes took place on the evening of March 19, targeting residential areas with Russian UAVs.
