The 2024 Summer Olympics are in their second week and still going strong.
Despite dealing with Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine sent 142 athletes, Ukraine’s smallest Olympic team ever, to compete in the Summer Games.
As of 3 pm (GMT+3), August 6, Ukraine has earned 7 medals, placing it at the 18th place in the Olympics medal table.
List of Olympic medals won by the Ukrainian team:
First bronze medal won by fencer Olha Kharlan, July 29.
Silver medal won by Serhii Kulish in rifle shooting from three positions at a distance of 50 m, August 1.
First Gold medal in 2024 was won in the team fencing competition, August 3. The following athletes brought victory to Ukraine: Olha Kharlan, Alina Komaschuk, Olena Kravatska and Yulia Bakastova.
Gold medal won by Yaroslava Mahuchikh in women’s high jump, August 4.
Bronze medal won by Iryna Herashchenko in women’s high jump, August 4.
Bronze medal won by Mykhailo Kohan in the hammer throw, August 4
Silver medal won by Illia Kovtun in parallel bars competition, August 5.
The Paris 2024 Games are set to end on August 11, 2024.
