A series of attacks on critical infrastructure facilities in both Russia and the temporary occupied Ukrainian territories were recorded during the night of November 3.
According to ASTRA, residents of the Russian city of Saratov reported explosions. OSINT analysts from the project analyzed footage of the moment of the strike, published on the Ukrainian project Supernova+, and concluded that the target was the Saratov Oil Refinery.
“Judging by the footage, the installation is covered with a net. It is worth noting that there is already a source of fire in the western part of the plant in the video, possibly near the reservoirs,” ASTRA OSINT analyst staded.
The Saratov Oil Refinery is one of the oldest oil processing enterprises in Russia, with an oil refining volume of 4.8 million tons as of 2023.
On the same night the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a repeat attack on the oil depot in the occupied city of Shakhtarsk, Horlivka District, Donetsk region. Video footage of the attack was also published by the Supernova+ Telegram channel.
According to the CyberBoroshno Telegram channel, an explosion occurred in the area of the oil depot as a result of the strike.
Shakhtarsk is located 50 kilometers east of Donetsk and has been under the control of Russian troops and groups affiliated with them since 2014. The oil depot in the city is a critically important logistics hub that provides fuel for the occupying forces in eastern Ukraine.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine executed precise drone strikes targeting Russian military storage facilities and bases situated in areas of Ukraine currently under temporary occupation.
