Missile Strike Hits Military Unit in Crimea Destroying Around 90 Russian Drones

Powerful explosions were reported in Sevastopol, near Cape Fiolent, and in the area of Balaklava Thermal Power Plant in the temporarily occupied Crimea on the evening of July 1. 

The occupation administration reported the work of anti-aircraft defense. 

According to the monitoring telegram channel "Crimean Wind" (Крымский Ветер) the explosion and fire took place in a military unit near the village of Flotske (Karan) in Balaklava.

Satellite photos confirm that during yesterday's attack, a missile hit a military unit near the village of Flotske in Balaklava. It is estimated that 90 Shahed UAVs were destroyed, though the exact losses of the invaders in manpower are currently unknown.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have not yet provided any comments regarding the explosions in occupied Crimea.

Russian-occupied Crimea is one of the most fortified zones in the war in Ukraine, housing more than 233 military objects.

In the last weeks, Ukraine has been consistently targeting Russia’s military objects, including anti-aircraft missile complexes.
