Nine Ukrainian citizens from Kherson, kidnapped in 2022, are on trial in the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. They are being accused of participating in a "terrorist group" and "attempted assassination" of the leadership of the occupation administration of the Kherson region without proper evidence.

This was reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations citing propaganda media that published a report from the courtroom.

The case has been going on in the Russian court since January 2024. The nine Ukrainians face life imprisonment.
