Ukraine’s Defense Forces are inflicting heavy losses on Russian and North Korean units in Russia’s Kursk region, says SBU .

This information comes from a newly intercepted call released by SBU, in which a nurse from a Moscow-region hospital speaks with her husband, a Russian soldier fighting against Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

"Yesterday, the train had about 100 people. Today, another 120 – that's already 200. How many more are there? Only God knows," said the wife of the Russian serviceman on the phone.

In the next conversation, the Russian woman reveals that hospital wards in Russia are being given to North Korean militants while wounded Russian soldiers are treated in worse conditions.

"Are they elites, these Koreans? We are freeing up certain wards just for them," she said.

As of December 17, Ukraine reported over 80 North Korean soldiers killed in Russia's Kursk region. At the same time, AP reports that hundreds of North Korean servicemen have been killed or injured in battles in Russia’s Kursk region.

On December 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russia had deployed North Korean soldiers for the first time to attack Ukrainian positions in Russia’s Kursk region.
