On March 26, the Ukrainian Air Force released the first-ever interview with a pilot flying the F-16 fighter jet, providing insights into operational tactics, mission effectiveness, and the adaptation to Western military technology.

The pilot, whose identity remains undisclosed, shared details about the frequent missions carried out by F-16 units. According to him, these aircraft conduct multiple sorties daily, targeting enemy positions beyond the front lines, including areas within Russian-held territories. Additionally, F-16s provide air cover for Ukrainian forces operating other aircraft, such as MiG-29s, Su-27s, Su-24s, and Su-25s.

“We have precise intelligence on our targets well in advance. Despite some claims in the media suggesting otherwise, our reconnaissance teams are adapting quickly and providing timely, actionable data,” the pilot stated.

He emphasized the high efficiency of their operations, highlighting the precision of Western technology in combat scenarios.

“Nearly every missile we launch hits its target. More than 80% of our missiles reach their intended destination, neutralizing threats such as Shahed drones and cruise missiles launched from sea, air, and land.”

Currently, Ukrainian F-16s are focused on striking tactical-depth targets, but their impact remains significant.

“If we set our sights on a target, we can ensure it is hit with high accuracy,” the pilot concluded.

Previously, it was reported that Ukraine’s Air Force has received a new batch of multi-role F-16 fighter jets as part of international military aid.
