Partisans from the ATESH resistance movement conducted a sabotage operation targeting a Russian R-417 “Baget” communication station at the 229th Aviation Base in Rostov-on-Don, according to a statement released by the group on November 4.
ATESH agents infiltrated the airbase, which belongs to Russia’s 4th Air and Air Defense Army under the Southern Military District, and destroyed an antenna vehicle of the R-417 “Baget” relay communication station.

The group reported the operation as successful, stating that the loss of the system could disrupt communication between aviation units and command centers.
The R-417 “Baget” is a mobile radio relay station mounted on a KamAZ-4310 truck chassis. It provides secure communication links between command posts, enabling coordination of combat flights and maintaining operational control over airbase activities.

Developed in the 2000s, the system is part of Russia’s modernization program for its tactical and operational communication networks.
Earlier, Ukrainian agents from the ATESH movement infiltrated a key Russian air defense regiment near St. Petersburg and gathered detailed intelligence on S-400 Triumf systems, radar positions, and combat duty schedules. The information was reportedly handed over to Ukraine’s Defense Forces for operational use.
