According to The Insider on April 20, the probe is being conducted by Polish law enforcement and focuses on potential illegal political financing as well as the exchange’s alleged ties to Russian entities.
The Insider reports that the case centers on whether funds linked to Zondacrypto were used to support Nawrocki’s campaign activities.
Investigators are examining financial flows associated with the exchange, including transactions that may have been routed through intermediaries or offshore structures. The report notes that authorities are also assessing possible violations of Poland’s political financing laws, which strictly regulate sources of campaign funding.

Zondacrypto has previously been mentioned in connection with operations that could involve Russian-linked capital, although the exact nature of these ties remains under review as part of the investigation. No formal charges have been announced at this stage, and the inquiry is ongoing.
The outlet states that the case could involve cooperation between multiple regulatory and security bodies, including financial oversight institutions and counterintelligence services, given the potential cross-border dimension of the alleged transactions.
Earlier, Poland flagged suspected foreign interference in its presidential election, with externally funded Facebook ads targeting multiple candidates. According to NASK, the campaign was not tied to official committees and may be linked to Moscow, with an investigation ongoing.
