Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that in the three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Vladimir Putin has spent $1 trillion to fund the war, and neither he nor his allies are likely to stop anytime soon.
Zelenskyy stated that in an interview with CBS News published on April 14.
“Three countries are already involved in this war. And others will be involved. Or more troops from these countries will be involved if this war is not stopped. Interested parties are participating in this war today,” Zelenskyy said.
“The North Koreans, Chinese, and Iranians have started making money on this. And when the war continues, and billions are spent, and Putin has already spent $1 trillion in three years of war, more than $1 trillion on this war, then these countries will not want to stop.”

The Ukrainian President emphasized that today, Russian factories are operating at full capacity to support the war effort.
“Putin is already producing as many weapons as all of Europe, risking all of Europe. Putin’s ambition is to conquer us. But everyone in the world knows. Everyone knows about war and historical wars. If we don’t stop it, it will continue,” Zelenskyy added.
In an interview with BR24 on March 31, German General Carsten Breuer, the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr warned that Russia’s continuous military rearmament sets the stage for a potential large-scale conflict with NATO by 2029.
