Putin Signs 2025 Military Reserve Training Decree

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has signed a decree authorizing the call-up of reserve personnel for military training in 2025, according to the Official Publication of Legal Acts of Russia on January 16.

"In 2025, summon Russian citizens in the reserve for military training in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the National Guard troops, rescue military formations of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief, state security bodies, and federal security service," the decree states.

The measure takes effect immediately. Following its issuance, the Ministry of Defense will coordinate with regional military commissariats to notify eligible reserve personnel about their participation in the training.

Previously, it was reported that Vladimir Putin requested his initials be engraved on the chains of crosses to be distributed to Russian soldiers.
