Rare North Korean Type 75 Rocket Launcher Wiped Out by Ukraine’s Elite Presidential Brigade, Video

Ukrainian forces destroyed a rare North Korean-made Type 75 multiple rocket launcher being used by Russian troops on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian 1st Presidential Brigade “Burevii” reported on July 11.
The strike was carried out by the elite 1st Presidential Brigade, which released a video showing the destruction of the towed artillery system shortly after it deployed to fire.
The Type 75 is a 107 mm multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), based on the Chinese 12-tube Type 63 design, which was copied from the Soviet BM-14.
It is capable of delivering a 12-rocket salvo with an effective range of approximately 8.5 kilometers. Though relatively lightweight and easy to deploy, the system is considered outdated by modern standards.

“North Korean exotic hardware didn’t survive the reality of the front,” the 1st Presidential Brigade said in a statement, noting that the rocket launcher “moved into position to begin firing—but the pilots of the Burevii Brigade struck first.”
Earlier, Russian forces began using robotic ground platforms to transport North Korean-made Type-75 multiple launch rocket systems.
