On the night of August 15-16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Crimean Bridge with ATACMS missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

According to the Ministry, 12 ATACMS missiles were fired at the bridge, all of which were allegedly shot down.

The bridge was closed from 3:15 am to 7:13 am, which is why by the morning about two thousand cars were waiting in queue to cross. The Russian monitoring channel "Prigranichye" reported that eight missiles were shot down over the Crimean Bridge.

Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that at night Crimea was attacked by two unmanned boats and 5 aircraft-type drones, and claimed to have shut down all of them.

Ukraine has been consistently targeting military bases and the Russian Black Sea fleet in Crimea. At the beginning of August Ukraine sank the “Rostov-on-Don” submarine.
