Russians are spreading a fake video allegedly from the fundraising platform UNITED24, claiming that Ukraine plans to recruit Polish soldiers into its Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) and Security Service (SS) in December 2024.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD).

"After verifying the information with UNITED24, the Center confirmed that the platform did not create or distribute such content. The assertion regarding the involvement of Polish soldiers in the TDF and SS is also false," the CCD cautioned.

They emphasized that the goal of this disinformation is to create tension between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples and to undermine cooperation with partners.

Recently, the CCD indicated that Russian propaganda has intensified efforts to disrupt mobilization in Ukraine.

“Social media is inundated with manipulative narratives regarding checks conducted by TDF personnel on October 11, while hostile media depict the situation as ‘lawlessness,’ seeking to amplify its significance,” CCD wrote.

In May, it was reported that Russia was preparing a series of fake videos aimed at negatively portraying Ukrainian soldiers, including those working in territorial recruitment centers.
