“Russia Has Lost Over a Million People”: Zelenskyy Shuts Down Kremlin Victory Propaganda

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a strong warning against Russia’s ongoing efforts to spread disinformation, particularly concerning the progress of the war.
Speaking to reporters in Sweden on October 22, the President directly addressed claims of Russian victory being disseminated in Western media.
“Russia's pushing disinformation in media, mostly in the United States today, also in Europe, that they win this war, that they are winning,” Zelenskyy stated. “But it's not the truth.”
Zelenskyy countered these narratives by citing significant Russian casualties. He claimed that Moscow's losses are substantial, amounting to “more than one million people.”
He also stated that Ukraine will not make territorial concessions to Russia, which aims to fully occupy the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The President emphasized that the true cost of the war is measured not just in geography, but in the destiny of the nation.
“We are ready for diplomacy. But not on the condition that we must withdraw somewhere, giving away our land, our territories to the aggressor. Undoubtedly, this is not about kilometers. The issue is certainly about homes, about our people, about our history, identity. This is our territorial value,” Zelenskyy said.
He added that all those diplomatic efforts that Russia demonstrates with its calls and messages are meant to postpone strong decisions by America and Europe, such as the imposition of sanctions, or the transfer/sale of Tomahawks to Ukraine.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed his willingness to attend peace negotiations in any country, including Hungary, provided such a meeting could bring about peace. However, he expressed skepticism regarding Budapest’s suitability as a neutral host nation.
