Russia Strikes an Apartment Building in Kharkiv Killing at Least 6, Injuring 25

On the night of May 31, Russia launched a massive missile attack across Ukraine.

An attack was carried out using S-300 and S-400 missiles from the territory of the Belgorod region. Five rocket strikes were recorded in Kharkiv, all in the Novobavarskyi district in Kharkiv.

A rocket attack struck a five-story building, leaving at least 6 people killed, and 25 injured, including two 12-year-old children—a boy and a girl, according to Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov.

At least three floors of a single block were completely destroyed, displacing numerous residents, the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov reported.

Rescue efforts are ongoing as four people remain trapped under the rubble.

An additional strike damaged a fire engine and other emergency vehicles. A medical worker and a police officer responding to the explosion are among those injured.

Additionally, the death of a security guard at a sewing workshop struck by another missile attack has been reported.

Earlier, on May 25, Russians attacked a construction hypermarket in Kharkiv, killing 19 and injuring 48.
