Russian Attacks on Kharkiv Triple in May, with 37 Aerial Bomb and 25 Missile Strikes
Mayor Ihor Terekhov has reported a significant escalation in attacks on the city during May, with a threefold increase compared to April.
In a Telegram post, Terekhov detailed 76 incidents throughout the month, including 37 air bomb strikes, 25 missile attacks, and numerous drone assaults. Air raid sirens blared 193 times, totaling over 474 hours of alerts.
The city and surrounding region remain under constant threat of shelling.
A particularly devastating attack on May 25 targeted the Epicenter construction hypermarket with guided aerial bombs, killing 19 and injuring 54. The same day, a central park was also struck.
Previously, on March 31, Russian terrorists fired S-300 anti-aircraft missiles at Kharkiv, causing partial destruction of a five-story building and damage to a business. The attack resulted in 5 fatalities and 25 injuries, including two children.
