Russian Drone Attack on Ternopil High-Rise Causes Fire, 1 Dead and 3 Injured

A Russian drone struck the top floor of a high-rise building in a residential area of Ternopil on the night December 2, killing one person and injuring 3 others.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS), around 100 residents were evacuated.

"During the night, the enemy drone hit an apartment building in Ternopil, causing a large-scale fire. One person died, 3 were injured, and nearly 100 residents were evacuated. The blast wave damaged windows in nearby buildings, schools, and 20 cars," the DSNS reported.

On the night of December 2, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using 110 Shahed drones and other types.

The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that by morning, 52 Russian UAVs had been shot down over Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Previously on December 1, a Russian attack on the Dniprovskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk region has resulted in four deaths and injuries to 21 individuals, including one child, according to local authorities.
