Russian Drone Barrage on Ukraine Leaves Truck Driver Dead and Teenager Among Injured
On the night of January 3, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 93 Shahed drones and various decoy UAVs, killing at least one person and injuring 4 others.
The attack was reported by the Head of the Kyiv Region Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kyiv region, Brovarskyi district, the Russian airstrike killed a 24-year-old truck driver with shrapnel from a downed target. The man died at the scene.
In the Bilotserkivskyi district, four private residential buildings and one utility structure were damaged. Three people were injured, including a 16-year-old teenager.
Additionally, a woman was injured by falling debris in the Fastivskyi district.
“As a result of a Russian drone attack, several strikes by combat UAVs hit private enterprises and apartment buildings in the Donetsk and Chernihiv regions. Additionally, downed Shahed drones caused damage in the Kyiv region, affecting private homes and vehicles in several areas. Tragically, there is one fatality and several injuries,“ wrote the General Staff, adding that the drone attack started at 9:00 pm on January 2.
On January 1, a Russian drone attack on Kyiv caused significant destruction, killing two people and injuring seven others, including two pregnant women.
