Russian Drone Operator Eliminates His Own Man for Trying to Give Up, Video

A Russian drone operator dropped an explosive on his own soldier who was attempting to surrender to Ukrainian forces near Orikhiv, according to Ukraine’s Operational Command South on October 20.
Ukrainian defense officials said the Russian serviceman had consciously decided to lay down his arms, realizing “the hopelessness and senselessness of the war Russia is waging against Ukraine.”
They don't abandon their own—they shoot their own.

Before he could surrender, however, a Russian drone appeared overhead. The operator dropped an explosive device directly onto the soldier, killing him instantly.
According to Ukrainian troops, such incidents are not isolated. Russian units have repeatedly targeted their own soldiers who try to surrender or retreat.

“This incident once again demonstrates how the Russian command treats its subordinates—the lives of soldiers mean nothing to them,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.
Earlier, on the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian forces captured a Russian soldier belonging to the Ket ethnic group—one of the smallest Indigenous peoples in the Russian Federation.
