Russian Drone Strike on Family in Donetsk Region Leaves Four Injured, Including Two Children

Russian forces struck Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region with a drone on the morning of December 8, injuring a family of four who had been riding their bicycles to collect water.
The information was reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office on December 8.

“On December 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM, occupying forces struck Kostiantynivka with an FPV drone. A family riding bicycles to fetch water was caught in the strike,” the statement said.
Prosecutors noted that a 42-year-old man, his 32-year-old wife, and their two children—a 7-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy—received injuries in the attack. All four suffered mine-explosive trauma, shrapnel wounds, and concussion.
Doctors described the condition of the children and their father as moderately serious. The victims were treated on-site and later hospitalized.

In another incident, two men lost their lives in Izium, Kharkiv region, on December 5 after a Russian drone targeted a truck. The attack occurred as the men were unloading firewood from a ZIL vehicle into a tractor unit.
The drone hit the truck, killing the two men, aged 52 and 67, who were standing beside it. A fire broke out immediately after the strike, further escalating the damage. The regional police confirmed the fatalities.
Earlier, a Russian drone strike targeted an evacuation bus near Bilopillia in Ukraine’s Sumy region, resulting in the deaths of nine civilians and leaving at least four others injured.
