Russian forces launched its 19th air assault on Kyiv in October, targeting the city with strike drones, causing fire in a residential high-rise building and injuring at least 9 people, including a 11-year-old child, reported Kyiv city military administration on October 30.
Debris from downed drone caused a 40-square-meter fire in a multi-story residential building in Solomianskyi district, prompting the evacuation of 18 residents.
“9 people were injured, including one child,” local authorities said.
Additionally, an administrative building sustained damage as a fire broke out, followed by a gas regulation unit depressurization, which was quickly fixed. Emergency responders contained the fire with no reported injuries from this location.
A nearby kindergarten was also damaged by Russian strike, added city’s authorities.
Earlier, Russian massive drone and missile strike on Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih and Kherson region killed 2 people and injured at least 28, including children, causing mass destruction and damaging multiple residential buildings.
