Russian FM Lavrov Accuses the West of Believing in Satan and Protecting “Kyiv Nazi Regime”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Western countries of supposedly believing in Satan and attempting to undermine consensus within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
This was reported by The Moscow Times on March 11.
“We still believe that only consensus can save the OSCE. As for the West—I don’t know what they believe in anymore, probably no one but Satan—they are doing everything to destroy consensus,” Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
Lavrov claimed that the principles and goals of the OSCE are currently being blatantly ignored. He expressed hope that the experience and professionalism of the Secretary-General would help restore the organization to its foundations, which were “solemnly proclaimed at numerous summits and in declarations, and are now critically needed in Europe.”

Lavrov also claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is allegedly not interested in a ceasefire unless he receives guarantees from the U.S. regarding the possibility of a nuclear strike on Russia if necessary.
“That’s roughly how he frames the issue. So for now, none of this is serious,” Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister expressed doubts regarding Western countries considering sending peacekeeping troops to Ukraine.
“And these so-called peacekeepers—what exactly would they be protecting? The remnants of the Kyiv Nazi regime, which has passed a series of laws aimed at eradicating Russian culture, the Russian language, and Russian media?” Lavrov added.
Several European nations expressed their openness to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine if needed.
On March 3, Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry stated not ruling out the possibility of deploying Lithuanian peacekeepers to Ukraine. The same was stated by the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
