Russian forces reportedly executed three Ukrainian prisoners of war on January 3, near the settlement of Neskuchne in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region. This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets citing DeepState.

According to available information, the Russian soldiers tied their hands and shot them point blank in the back of their heads.

“As the Ukrainian Parliament's Commissioner for Human Rights, I once again urgently appeal to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations. These organizations must condemn this crime and exert pressure on the Russian side to cease such acts,“ Lubinets wrote in his account on X.

The killing of prisoners of war is a violation of the Geneva Conventions and is qualified as a serious international crime.

On December 22, Lubinets reported that Russian forces had executed a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war, killing five Ukrainian soldiers.
