Russian Forces Deploy Enhanced FAB-500 Near Kharkiv for the First Time

Russian forces have employed the FAB-500 with a planning and correction module for the first time near Kharkiv. As a result, 4 people were injured and 2 experienced acute stress reactions.

According to Oleksandr Filchakov, head of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, this bomb is twice as powerful as the KAB- and FAB-250 previously used daily to bombard Kharkiv and region.

Filchakov stated that two aerial bombs were launched from a Su-34 aircraft from Mayak in the Belgorod region, flying 65 kilometers from the launch site to the impact site.

FAB-250 stands for high-explosive aviation bombs that have the most powerful and versatile destructive effect among bombs of primary use. The explosive material in them constitutes approximately 50% of the bomb's total weight, which in this case is 250 tonnes.
