Russian Forces Launch Ballistic Missile Attack on Odesa Port, Killing 1 and Injuring at Least 8
On October 14, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Odesa, killing one person and injuring 8.
“The enemy once again targeted the port infrastructure, killing one person and injuring eight others. The injured individuals are currently in the hospital, with two in serious condition. Medical staff are providing all necessary assistance. All those affected, including the deceased, are workers from the port infrastructure and citizens of Ukraine,” reported local governor Oleh Kiper.
Civilian vessels were also damaged in the attack, including the "NS Moon," which flies the flag of Belize, and the cargo ship "OPTIMA," registered under the flag of Palau.
Ship "OPTIMA" was already damaged by a ballistic strike a week ago, when Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Odesa port infrastructure.
The attack also caused damage to port infrastructure, including a grain storage facility.
