Russia Strikes Odesa Region With Drones, Injuring 2 People, Including a Turkish Citizen
On the morning of October 2, Russia attacked Ukraine’s Izmail district in the Odesa region with drones, hitting the port and border infrastructure, and injuring at least 2 people, one of them being a citizen of Turkey.
“Russians targeted the port and border infrastructure. Two men, truck drivers, were injured. One of them is a citizen of Turkey. Currently, the injured are in moderate condition in the hospital. They are provided with all necessary assistance,” wrote the Head of the Odesa Region Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
Due to shelling, transit operations at the "Orlivka" checkpoint have been temporarily suspended until 11:00 am.
“Russians deliberately fired at the checkpoint, making it difficult for ordinary people to cross the border. This is terror against the civilian population,” Kiper added.
