A 61-year-old passenger was killed at the scene, while the train's driver and assistant experienced severe stress reactions.

Emergency services are currently on-site, handling the situation.

Ukrzaliznytsia, the national railway company, provided additional details, stating that after the warning signal, the train crew and several passengers moved to a modular shelter deployed at the station, which likely saved their lives.

However, the victim reportedly refused to evacuate following the warning, a version that is still being investigated by authorities.

“We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased,” Ukrzaliznytsia said. “We once again urge all passengers to strictly follow safety protocols and follow the instructions of railway personnel.”
