Russian FPV Drone Targets Civilian Car in Kharkiv Region, Injuring Three Women

On the morning of May 8, Russian forces targeted a civilian car with an FPV drone, injuring three women, according to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office.
Investigators say the drone struck a Renault Sandero around 7:05 a.m. as it was traveling near the village of Velyki Prokhody in the Kharkiv region.
Three women, aged 18, 30, and 58, were injured in the attack and hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

“Prosecutors, working alongside police investigators, have collected evidence and documented yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation,” the statement reads, adding that an investigation has been launched into a suspected war crime.
This tactic mirrors the so-called “human safari” seen in Kherson, where Russian forces have used drones to deliberately target emergency responders and civilian commuters.
Local authorities have recorded over 12,000 drone attacks between August and December 2024, resulting in 64 deaths and 609 injuries. Kherson’s regional military administration views these attacks as a campaign of terror, aiming to force residents to flee.
