Russian Ka-32 Helicopter Used for Military Support Destroyed at Moscow Airport
In a recent report by The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), a Russian helicopter, identified as a Ka-32, was destroyed at the Ostafyevo airport in Moscow. This took place during the night of April 26, 2024, within the premises of the airport, which is under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Defense, DIU reports.
The destroyed aircraft was reportedly part of the operations of the Moscow Aviation Center. Specifically, it was employed to support activities of the Russian army.
Ostafyevo airport, owned by the Russian Federation, operates jointly with Gazpromavia, an enterprise under PJSC Gazprom.
Further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be disclosed.
This event comes shortly after Ukraine successfully downed a Russian Tu-22M3 bomber on April 19, 2024.
