A Russian KAB  strike sparked a fire in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia, leaving 13 people wounded and one dead, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov on April 22.

UPD: The number of people injured has risen to 22.

“In one of Zaporizhzhia’s districts, a fire broke out following a Russian attack. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed,” Fedorov wrote on Telegram.

He added that a 69-year-old woman was critically wounded. Medics attempted to resuscitate her, but she did not survive.

“A 14-year-old boy is in serious condition, while a 4-year-old boy is in moderate condition. Doctors are providing all necessary medical assistance,” Fedorov added.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Easter morning, April 20, that while Russia is trying to create the illusion of a general ceasefire, it continues to carry out localized offensives in certain areas, causing losses among Ukrainian forces.

He made the remarks in a Telegram post following a frontline update from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.
