Russian Military Aircraft Tu-134 Destroyed by Fire at Orenburg Airfield, Ukrainian Intelligence Reports

A Russian military transport aircraft Tu-134 was destroyed by fire overnight of October 12, reported Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) on October 14.

HUR did not specify the cause of the fire.
The burned plane was stationed at the Orenburg-2 military airfield in Russia. The aircraft was part of the 117th Military Transport Aviation Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces.
These Soviet-era passanger planes are used only by the Russian Armed Forces primarily to transport its senior officials.
Earlier, Ukraine destroyed Russian Mi-8 helicopter in Kharkiv region of Ukraine.
