On the morning of October 20, the body of the war criminal Dmitry Vladimirovich Golenkov was found in an apple orchard in the village of Suponevo in the Bryansk region, Russia.

This was reported by HUR  on their website.

Golenkov was a pilot of the 52nd heavy bomber aviation regiment of the Russian Armed Forces (military unit 33310), which is based at the Shaykovka airfield and is armed with Tu-22M3 bombers. He held the position of Chief of staff of a Russian aviation squadron.

The killed pilot was reportedly involved in orchestrating missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, in particular, the strike on the Amstor shopping center in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region, Ukraine, on June 27, 2022. This attack alone killed 22 people and injured dozens.

Golenkov is also believed to be responsible for the missile attack that was conducted on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14, 2023, when 46 Ukrainian civilians were killed, including 6 children.

The body of Golenkov was found with multiple head injuries, seemingly caused by a hammer.

Previously, on October 18, HUR reported that a car explosion had killed Major Dmitry Pervukha of the Russian Armed Forces in the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk, Ukraine.
