Russian Shelling Kills 12-Year-Old Boy and Injures One in Mykhailivka, Donetsk Region
Local Governor Vadym Filashkin reported that Russian forces attacked the village of Mykhailivka in Donetsk region on June 3rd, killing two civilians and injuring one. One of the victims was a 12-year-old boy.
The Russian military launched a morning attack with a guided aerial bomb, followed by a repeat strike an hour and a half later. The attacks damaged at least five buildings.
“Tomorrow (June 4), Ukraine will commemorate the Day of Remembrance of Children who died due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and today another name was added to this sad list,” stated Filashkin.
Mykhailivka, located in the Pokrovsk district near the Donetsk region front line, has been vulnerable since Russian troops secured a foothold on the district’s border in April.
Donetsk region endures relentless Russian attacks, sometimes nearly 2,000 strikes daily.
