Russian Strike on Zaporizhzhia Region Kills 2, Injures At Least 5 People
Russia launched an attack on the Zaporizhzhia region on the night of September 17, killing at least 2 civilians and injuring 5 others, damaging several homes and an infrastructure facility, according to Governor Ivan Fedorov.
Rescue operations are still underway, and authorities are assessing the full scale of the destruction.
Earlier that night, Fedorov reported explosions in the region, later confirming that Russia had “massively attacked” the Komyshuvakha community in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russia continues to target civilian areas in the Zaporizhzhia region, a region partly under Russian occupation.
The city of Zaporizhzhia is located less than 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the front lines.
