Russia's losses throughout its full-scale invasion are five times greater than those of Ukraine, Donald Trump's special envoy on the war in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated during a broadcast on Fox Business on December 18.

According to Kellogg, the casualty levels right now between Ukraine and Russia are about five to one.

“When you use human waves attacks, for what like the North Koreans are doing right now, you are going to have a huge casualty level,” Kellogg said.

He stated that Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine has devolved into a war of attrition, much like the conflicts seen during World War II.

“This is totally how they fight. That is how they fought in World War II. They just basically overwhelm you by throwing a large number of troops at you. But then the numbers go just way up,” Kellogg added.

During the same interview, Kellogg noted that Russia and Ukraine could now be open to peace talks.

Previously, on December 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated lacked the strength to recapture Donbas and Crimea but could not give up these territories.
